In a culture, where society is placed above the happiness of individuals,
Heena and Ranjeet Kapoor quickly learn how traditions are deeply
rooted with expectations, when they agree to help Khanna family
settle in migration to US. Life altering events find them all seeking
solace and peace as they adapt to the turbulences of their lives.

Japanese TV Satellite Broadcasting TV Station BS-i and BS-Fuji
(Hi-vision) are starting a one hour short film program that contains
Cannes or Academy Awarded short films and interviews of popular
directors from over the world.

If any of you are interested in showing your and entry on this
TV program, please send it on 1/2" VHS (NTSC/PAL), or MiniDV
(NTSC). mark the tape and case with the title of your , running
time, your name and contact information (e-mail address and phone
# are must) can be shot or created in any format (film,analog/digital
video, animation , etc.)

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
|

|
RESFEST is a global touring festival exploring the dynamic interplay
of film, art, music and design. Each year the festival showcases
the year's best shorts,features,music videos and animation in an
environment that combines screenings, live music events, parties,
panel discussions and technology demonstrations.

Last year the festival toured 14 cities internationally including
New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tokyo, London, Rio and Cape
Town. This year we expect the addition of several new cities to
the international tour.In several cities, we host events for local
and visiting filmmakers, and many of our filmmakers are invited
as guests at our international dates to lead workshops and seminars.

At the end of the tour, Audience Choice Awards are given for the
most popular shorts and music videos. Producers, creative directors
and production companies attend the festival, scouting for the next
generation of creators, and RESFEST makes every effort to promote
the festival and its filmmakers to the press, through numerous releases,
notes in the program guide and profiles in our newsletter, RES ALERT.
