A crowded middle-class compartment on an Indian night train is gripped by mob mentality when a low-caste mother discovers one of her twin babies has died en route. Dark and claustrophobic, powered by an inescapable dread, "Saanjh" is classic modern folklore with moral implications about class, caste, and cultural differences. Director Sabrina Dhawan went on to write "Monsoon Wedding."
