Calcutta My Love is an epic love story set in the 1960's and '70's when a section of the Communist Party of India led a violent uprising in Calcutta. Young Animesh comes to Calcutta to study but finds his life oscillating between the love of the beautiful Madhabilata and his dedication to a radical political movement, in this richly detailed window on a turbulent period in the making of modern India.

"Frozen" picture

Frozen chronicles the life of a teenage girl, Lasya, who lives with her father and younger brother in the northern Himalayas making apricot jam. The family's life is disturbed when the army moves into the village and finds a frozen body. Lasya tries to make sense of her world as her family grapples with debt, the army and difficult memories. Stunning cinematography and moving performances make this an impressive feature debut from Indian indie filmmaker Chandrabhushan.
