In Tim Supple's enchanting screen adaptation, twins Viola and Sebastian are asylum seekers, seperated and washed up on the strange island of Illyria - a soulful, sensual yet dark and dangerous vision of contemporary, multicultural London.

In the director's own words: "Twelfth Night is a story of the loneliness of exile, the pain of loss and the madness of love. Its remarkable cast of characters suffer strange confusion and magical coincidence - all in a state of delightful delirium. It enthralls us with the sorrow of endings and the great hope of beginnings."

The cast includes Parminder Nagra (Viola) following her success in Bend it Like Beckham and more recently E.R., Chiwetel Ejiofor (Duke Orsino) of Dirty Pretty Things who has been described as one of Britain's finest young actors, and Michael Maloney (Malvolio) of Truly, Madly, Deeply fame who is a regular with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The soundtrack to the film was written by award-winning composer Nitin Sawhney. Adapted by: Andrew Bannerman & Tim Supple.
